Our Herbs

From the earliest times man has sought relief from his pains or healing in the Herbal Kingdom. Thus for thousands of years, varieties of herbs have been used by humans for therapeutic purposes.

As centuries of experience have proven, many plants, roots, leaves and many seeds have more potent healing properties than pharmaceuticals and moreover the most of the times without side effects. There is something heartwarming and humane when we seek our remedy from the garden, from the mountain, from the fields.

The fertile Myriki land and microclimate combined with the unique Evrytanian mountainous landscape and the Greek sun, generously nourishes and grows our plants. The key characteristic that differentiates our herbs from others is their collection at high altitude (over 1200 meters), in a location where human intervention is minimal, the ecosystem is pure and free of pesticides and other damaging chemical substances.

Each herb we grow is unique in taste and aroma and is distinguished by its own therapeutic properties.

We provide you with care the superior quality of our herbs in  purity, taste, aroma, appearance and medicinal benefits and we welcome you to experience it.

  • Greek Mountain Tea

Mountain tea “Sideritis ráeseri” also known as Velouchi tea. Its name is derived from the Greek word for iron, because siderite was considered a great medicine against the wound of iron weapons, i.e. war wounds in ancient times. Traditionally it is used to aid digestion, stimulate the circulatory system and help the body to cope with colds and coughs.

  • Chamomile

Humble in appearance, but with very important properties, it is considered one of the most useful medicinal plants. Native to Europe and Western Asia, it is common all over Greece. The herb smells slightly like an apple and grows low, which may explain its name, since chamomile is derived from the Greek “apple in the ground”.
